Eabhal came together while based on the Isle of South Uist in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. Eabhal were recently named Hands up for Trad, Battle of the Folk Bands 2018 winners at Edinburgh Tradfest and nominated for Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the 2018 Scots Trad Music Awards.
Eabhal’s debut album ‘This is how the Ladies Dance’ features a range of self-penned and traditional material. The album draws inspiration from many different cultures and delivers a spirited, inventive blend of Gaelic song and melodic sets, on pipes, flute, fiddle, accordion, guitar and vocals.
