As a result, the leadtime for producing vinyl can vary significantly at different times of the year. 12-inch vinyl is ideal for longer releases, such as albums. Each side can hold approximately 16 to 22 minutes per side, although this can certainly be adapted for shorter or longer pieces of audio depending on the desired quality. Releasing an album on vinyl format is a very popular option these days, providing an alternate product or exclusive collector’s item.

10-inch vinyl is well-suited to EPs, capable of holding more audio than 7-inch but not as much as 12-inch. They hold approximately 12 to 15 and a half minutes, depending on RPM. Perfect for EPs, shorter albums, or longer individual tracks.

With a run time of up to 6 minutes at 45rpm, 7-inch vinyl are perfect for two-track singles and special editions. Including a 7-inch vinyl version of your latest single can certainly add a more exclusive option for interested parties.
